This menu could be considered as Thai National food. Everyone who has a chance to visit Thailand would have to order this menu to be reminded that Hey there! I’m finally here in Thailand! Sawaddee kah!. If can’t visit Thailand yet, you can also make this famous menu at home. Simply yummy!

1. Medium size of prawn, peel the hard shell off………………..9-10
2.Oyster mushroom or straw mushroom…………………………..1 cup
3. Whole Red onion…………………………………………………………..4-5  (smashed)
4. Thai Chili……………………………………..7 or 9  ( warning very spicy so adjust to taste)

5. Thai whole dried chile – 3.5 oz ……………………5 or 7
6. Culantro………………………………..1/4 cup
7. (2 Oz.) Fresh ORGANIC Kaffir Lime Leaves Kaffir Lime 4-5 leafs ………………………4-5 pcs per each
8. Chopped or sliced galangal……………………………………………4-5 pcs
9. Cut Tomato……………………………………………………………………4-5 pcs 
10.Roasted Chili Paste……………………………………………………….3 tbsp
11.Lime juice………………………………………………………………………5-6 tsp
12.Fish sauce…………………………………………………………………….5 tsp
13.Sugar……………………………….. …………………………………………..3-4 tsp
14.Chicken Stock………………………………………………………………..3+1/2 cups 
15.Coconut milk or evaporated milk…………………………………….3/4 cup
15.Salt………………………………………………………………………. ………..pinch

 





This set of Herbs, you can get it for 5 baht(14 cents)
at the market, 1 set yields 1 serving


1. In the medium size pot, pour the stock and bring up to the medium heat, once the stock starts boiling , add the galangal, dried chili, smashed onion and and lemongrass.Melt the roasted chili paste in the soup, add the ripped orster mushroom and leave it boiled for a while





2.Clean the prawn, peel the hard shell off and gently cut the back of the prawns as half deep, you will see the stinky black line there, take it off.


3.One the soup starts to boil, add the coconut milk and prawns, increase the heat up just a little bit because you have to make it fast before the prawn start to be overcooked.


4 Add the fresh chili, tomato, season with salt, sugar and fish sauce. 
5. Turn the heat off then add the lime juice, mix well.
6. Serve and Enjoy!
